About Us

A small team building something that should not be possible for a small team.

We’re engineers, builders, and operators based in Munich. Backed by Y Combinator. Forward-deployed at customer sites, not behind a screen. This is who we are, why we started, and how we work together.
How it Began

Why we started Zeit AI

For years, Leopold and Marvin worked side by side at Palantir, building with some of the largest industrial companies on the continent. Leopold led the established customer business across Germany, Austria, and Switzerland. Marvin owned and deployed the first instances of what became the Artificial Intelligence Platform (AIP) at Palantir. Together, they shipped projects that turned into more than €50M in new revenue.
In summer 2024, they left Palantir. They’d seen firsthand the value Forward Deployed Engineers create for enterprises and one thing kept showing up: the people who actually run a business - the heads of controlling, the operators, the managers - are still stuck moving data manually between systems. The signal sits in the ERP, in the CRM, and in a dozen fragmented tools that don’t talk to each other. So decisions get made in spreadsheets and on gut feel. The gap between the two is where companies lose time, money, and confidence.
With today’s frontier models, that work can finally be done at software scale. So we’re building the first AI Forward Deployed Engineer for the European market. An autonomous system that connects to source systems, prepares messy data, and turns business questions into operational applications, in natural language.
We joined Y Combinator (S24), built ZeitMind, and went from zero to €1M ARR in 12 months. Today we’re a team of engineers, builders, and operators based in Munich. And we’re just getting started.
Leopold and Marvin

No serious business decision should be made without ZeitMind.

We’re building the autonomous data engineer that turns raw business data into decisions, in natural language.

How we Work

Five principles that shape how we operate

A small team has to be different. Not in the ways that look good on a website, but in the ways that compound. These are the things we hold each other accountable to.
01

Take Ownership

If you see something that needs doing, do it. Don’t wait to be asked, don’t ask for permission to execute. Move, then report.

02

Live Growth

Things that don’t grow, die. Always be looking for leverage. Use AI to scale yourself, the team, and the company.

03

Intellectual Honesty

Say what’s true. Name what isn’t working. No politics, just performance. Asking for help is a strength, not a weakness.

04

Customer Empathy

Understand people before solving for them. Know what actually matters. When customers win, we have won.

05

Bias for Action

Get things done. Close one box before opening ten. Ship real things, not plans or presentations.
